Mostar Street Art

Painting on an abandoned building in Mostar that says Mostar with a rooster.

The street art in Mostar is one of things I love most about this town. Abandoned buildings covered in bullet holes are transformed by beautiful art. Four-story murals cover the entire side of apartment buildings. Almost no surface is off limits.

There’s a street art festival every summer, so new murals are always being added.

I found a lot of street art in Mostar by accident when I was walking around. You can also use this map to make them easier to find. You can even use it to get directions in Google Maps. However I did notice that this map is missing some murals that I found.

The murals are located all over town, but there are a few spots that have the most in one place.

1. Abandoned Building AKA Sniper Tower

This building is one of the most iconic spots in Mostar. It’s covered in murals and graffiti.

2. Apartments Along Alekse Šantića

This neighborhood has the most murals on apartment buildings. These stunning artworks cover the entire side of four-story buildings.

3. Park Zrinjevac

The wall in this park is covered in art. There are also a lot of murals on the nearby streets.

4. Behind City Hall

In the back of the parking lot behind City Hall, there’s a wall with a lot of murals.

Mural in Mostar with Mahatma Gandhi quote, "Be the change you wish to see in the world"

5. Apartments by Vukovarski Spomen Park

This neighborhood also has a lot of murals on the apartment buildings.

6. Other Mostar Street Art

These are my favorite murals from other spots around Mostar.
